This past year has been a roller coaster for my gymnastics. Several months before my competition season began I devloped a mental block. I couldn’t do skills I had been doing for years. 70% of gymnasts go through this. I didn’t know if I would be able to compete at all this season. Thanks to my coach, Dawn, I was able to slowly work through it. I was even able to go on and have the best season of my career!This just goes to show you that you can overcome challenges. Why I still play gymnastics….that, “I did it!” feeling. I’ve never tried to slow down the illusion to scale out of it. I’ve done aerials out of it but this was such a different approach.
