Hiking on the North side of Greylock for the day we got on the Appalachian Trail where it crosses Notch Road at the Wilbur's Clearing kiosk heading South to make the climb on this very rocky section. From the 360 cam. March Cataract Waterfall at Mount Greylock State Reservation. This 30 foot waterfall is in the valley on Hopper Brook. Get to it from the Sperry Road Campground on a 2.2 mile in and back with 550 feet of elevation within less than a mile, extremely steep single track trail. This was a much appreciated cooling spot along our trek of the Haley Farm Trail to Stoney Ledge to Sperry to Hopper to Money Brook approx. 7 mile loop. Park at the Camp parking area on Rockwell Road to hike

360 cam views! Rounds Rock at Mount Greylock State Reservation coming up from the South side its the first trail loop with some spectacular views in just a mile. At 2,566 feet of elevation this trail is for everyone with two vistas and a plane crash memorial site and a boundary stone. Jabez Rounds once farmed this land in the early 1800s. Views are of Peru and Round Top Hill in Chester and the Catskills of New York, Hancock and more! One of my favorites here! #hikethehilltownhistory #hikethehill

The Overlook Trail, 3.2 miles total, rounds the South and West side of Greylock on the upper portion of the summit. Parking at Sperry/CCC on Rockwell go across the road onto Sperry and get on the Hopper, until the intersection with the Overlook. You can also get on this loop from the summit. Rocks and roots dominate this trail making it a bit technical and great single track hiking as it curves the mountain, lots of mountain springs keep it wet at almost a constant 3,100 feet of elevation. At Mount Greylock State Reservation, our Haley Farm Hike in Williamstown was a great loop, on the way down the mountain, we took the Hopper Trail which is stony and steep we opted for the cut thru trail to the crystal clear Money Brook trail to level the hike down by the cool brook. There are many different options here. Money Brook trail leads to Mt. Prospect and Money Brook Falls, there is also a short flat loop called Hopper Loop close to the Haley Farm Parking.
