During the early 20th century, the Fred Harvey Company produced Native American inspired jewelry to sell at their many restaurants throughout the American Southwest. This jewelry became so popular during the 30s and 40s that Navajo silversmiths started implementing the mass-produced iconography into their own work. This led to an influx of wearable art that was easily confused with Fred Harvey jewelry, but was actually much higher quality and made by Native artists. #fredharvey #stampedjewelry #
