Link made his grand debut in the very first game, The Legend of Zelda, and has been present in every subsequent title since. He is one of the three most important characters in the franchise, alongside Princess Zelda and Ganon.

Link is the playable character who appears in every installment of The Legend of Zelda series. Although there are many iterations of Link, each with a similar role and appearance, they are not the same individual.
