2018年2月8日 · He has two grown sons and they all have OWB'ers. They have a conveyor set up and load the wood in atandem dumptruck to dump at their house. I started a processor build and sold it to a guy in WV before I got it finished. He uses it as a regular splitter. I had build a 12way wedge and 30inch opening for the wood to push thru.

2010年3月15日 · Guy I get my wood for my bundles from has a SC-16 with a little Cat diesel. Thing does a good job with the smaller diameter stuff “up to 16” across oak”, but any larger and the spitter is working hard. He only half’s my wood for me and I have never had him bring up the 4-way as I have to resplit anyways.

2024年1月6日 · The wedge is vertical with this wing on the top that gets jammed up more than it’s worth and shears the wood more than splits it. Then the wood gets pushed up the chute but slides back down to a ledge that holds those pieces until the next split goes through. Its rated at 16” wide, but don’t try anything a c-hair wider or else!

2011年11月20日 · 6 sec cycle is awful slow on a processor. My processor is about 4-4.5 sec and it's slow. Half that time would be about right. Can certainly do other things while waiting. I'm moving the log to ready for next cut and starting the cut while the splitting is going.

2020年2月23日 · My wood is all Aspen , Balsam, Black Ash, Spruce so I think this type of processor would be idle for my use. Just google guillotine wood processors and you'll see several versions. I made the shear blade yesterday out of a piece of 3/4" x 12"x 16" plate. bevelled the edge on the mill.

2015年4月10日 · Difference in time would be measured in nano seconds, but 2ft dia wood will produce a lot more cords of split wood in a given amount of time than 6in dia wood. Every thing but the biggest of processors usually limit round size to about 20in dia. Sawing small dia wood takes a lot less time than sawing big rounds also.
