The Quadra comes with a pre-installed DMR programmer (a CPS) that is called "QDMR". It is MUCH more intuitive and puts the things you are likely to want to change in neat, organized tabs, with all your personal information on the first screen.

I downloaded the original version, but don't know what I need...I don't see any markings on the Quadra that say one way or the other !

It may have corrupted - Try a reinstall using the 'quadra ham apps Installer' found in the ham radio menu under Applications please.

The reason for porting HamPi to another platform such as the $29 Inovato Quadra is that shipments of Raspberry Pi SBCs to hobbyists have dwindled, and in order to support ham radio operators, I found an alternative platform which would still serve hams' interests with the HamPi software suite of over 150 amateur radio applications.
