2022年12月24日 · I am not looking for anything to make a stand alone executable. Just some kind of installer that bundles a minimalistic version of the python version you're using. And an option to have an exe that is just a link to run the python file in the portable python interpreter, just for windows and a .sh file that would do the same for linux.

I had window 7 (64 bit) and Python 2.7.12, I uninstalled it by clicking the python installer from the "download" directory then I selected remove python then I clicked “ finish”. I also removed the remaining python associated directory & files from the c: drive and also from “my documents” folder, since I created some files there.

2017年10月23日 · This will be better handled on the bugs.python.org issue tracker. The Windows installer for 3.5+ is almost entirely the work of only one Python core developer. He can at least take a look and see if maybe it's a problem with the installer or if information about the failure can be improved in the logs.

2020年11月15日 · @sathya With python 3.8.1, you only need Python38 and Python38\Scripts where Python38 is the installation folder of python. With the 3.8.1 .exe installer, I did not have to update the path manually, the installer did it for me (I had to check the relevant box). –

For other packages that may have dependencies (that are difficult to install on Windows); Christopher Gholke maintains a list of Windows installers for common Python packages. These are msi installers (or whl files) that are self-contained.

2018年1月8日 · Within the installer of the lower python version (where it complained), on the main page, select customize. Then on the next page, de-select py launcher and select install for all users. Hint: The newer launcher also works for the older version - so no need to try to over-install the older py launcher over the newer.
