2023年3月4日 · The reason OP's SATA expansion card did not work on the PCIe x4 slot (bottom slot) because Dell physically wired it as x1 lane. Hence, a suggestion to test it on the top slot, PCIe x16. (Do not have that same chipset card for testing)

2010年4月26日 · As long at the BIOS on both the SATA card and on your motherboard support it, then yes you should be able to boot from it. Most SATA and motherboard BIOS' do support this these days. You may/will have to adjust the boot order in your motherboard BIOS setup to get the expansion card to boot first.

I have the sata card plugged into the pcie express slot & the 2 SSD cards attached to 2 of the 4 sata ports on card & sata power to both. I can see power lights on card (2 are lit out of the 4).
