We enjoy getting out with our cameras in hand on weekend and day field trips to explore and appreciate many parts of the country and hone our photography skills. We also do the occasional field trip to more exotic locations, such as Africa and the wilds of Stewart Island.

Field Trips and NPSNZ Events Our society organizes a variety of field trips for members. Nearly every month we run either a day trip or a weekend trip to some locality around the South Island. Our typical weekend trips are within a few hours of

Open to all photographers, this digital competition is hosted by the Christchurch Photographic Society. Champion Award will receive a unique landscape trophy to keep.

Welcome to the Nature Photography Society of New Zealand. We hope that you will enjoy the activities our Society has to offer. We hold monthly meetings, usually with an outside speaker, regular one-day and weekend field trips, and occasional workshops.

Craig specialises in wildlife photography, with a strong interest in endemic and native birds. Craig has almost 40 years experience in photography. He has won many awards for photography.

The objective of the Trenna Packer Salver Competition is to illustrate the diversity of the natural world in New Zealand and its offshore islands, with images that are of a very high standard. As the natural environment comes under increasing threats from human activity it is vital that we have a comprehensive collection of high quality images.

We almost have a new Incorporated Societies Constitution (Rules) ready to send out to you all prior to the AGM next year. The new constitution is required as there has been a change in the legislation for the registration of Incorporated Societies.
