'AD' icon on some shows. What does it mean? : r/netflix - Reddit
I am trying to figure out what the 'AD' icon listed on some shows means (bottom right of image). It appears to just be Netflix Originals and Films. I tried Google but haven't found much, or I am searching using the wrong terms.
Netflix with ads. Where's the ads? : r/netflix - Reddit
I watched Apollo 13 last night and saw one ad during the entire movie. I am using Pihole on my router/wifi, not to bypass any Netflix ads but to just bypass ads in general network wide. I'm not sure if this has any affect. I also have Hulu with ads and Pihole doesn't seem to affect ads at all. It may just be a Netflix bug/issue.
I Tried Netflix With Ads for 1 Week. Here's What I Learned
2022年11月12日 · I’d rather drop it altogether than pay for ads, but the ad tier is included free in my Verizon plan so I haven’t bothered to cancel, just not using it. What I’ve learned is, I’m paying for ad free or canceling. I hope Netflix loses way more in dropped subscriptions than they make up in ad sales but hard to say how that math will work out.
How egregious are the ads on the $6.99 a month plan? [US] - Reddit
2023年5月26日 · I re-subscribed to Hulu last month after a couple of years away with the one month free option. The ads were SO intrusive. I canceled after about a week even though it was still free. 2023年12月31日 · However, based on what I've read here and on the Verizon website, it seems like you have to pay the difference between the ad free Netflix and the one from Verizon. This seems that it wouldn't save any money since you're already paying $10 for the perk.
How terrible are the Ads in the cheapest plan? : r/netflix - Reddit
For me, Netflix honestly isn't worth it if you're not watching your content in the highest quality possible. 4K HDR being reserved for the $20 plan is bullshit, but I really can't imagine watching new content if there's both ads and if it's limited to 1080i.
Netflix Ad Tier Hits 40M Monthly Active Users, Nearly Double
Imagine paying for Netflix and not even being "monthly active". I can easily imagine that. I subscribe to HBO, Netflix, Amazon and Disney+, and it's quite often that I don't use every service each month. Sometimes I go months without watching Netflix.

VIZIO turns off when Netflix ad turns on : r/VIZIO_Official - Reddit
2023年9月29日 · We recently just downgraded to Netflix with ads and every time an ad comes on, the tv will freeze up, make a loud buzzing noise for about 20 seconds, and then shut off to reboot. We’ve updated, unplugged and plugged back in, plugged it into a different outlet, factory reset.
How bad Is Netflix with ads? : r/cordcutters - Reddit
The movie and TV series licensing business is complex with contracts, rights and limitations. Some contracts the carrier (Netflix) will have to pay by the number of times streamed, other times it is based on a cut on the ad revenue, or it simply isn't licensed to be played with ads so not to compete with local broadcast where it may re-run etc.
