Melchior d'Hondecoeter (1636 – 1695) - Paintings Before 1800
• Hondecoeter's paintings featured geese, fieldfares, partridges, pigeons, ducks, northern cardinal, magpies and peacocks, but also African grey crowned cranes, Asian sarus cranes, Indonesian yellow-crested cockatoos. • His registered pupils were Willem Hendrik Wilhelmus van Royen and Jan Weenix.

2020年5月26日 · Dead Birds by Melchior d’Hondecoeter (mid 1660’s) Wallace Collection, London. In 1692, his wife died and Melchior went to live in the house of his daughter Isabel on the Warmoesstraat, one of the oldest streets in the city. Melchior d’Hondecoete died, aged 59, in Amsterdam on April 3rd 1695, and was buried in the Westerkerk.
