2021年5月18日 · The community of McFarland was founded in 1890 when they put in the post office. It existed to support the building and use of the Old Line Railroad between Knoxville and Atlanta. It also existed to support the construction of the Apalachia Pipeline.

2020年3月30日 · Part of the Over Hill Communities from the late 1700's to the mid 1940's, McFarland, Tennessee, has been extinct for decades. Its location is just north of Turtletown along the Hiwassee River. The post office was established in 1895.

From the intersection of US 64 and SR 68 in Ducktown, Tennessee turn LEFT onto SR 68 and head north for 12.50 miles to a LEFT turn onto Duggan Road which is unsigned at Hwy 68, but appears on Google Maps correctly. Drive on Duggan Road for a little over 0.50 miles to a RIGHT turn onto Farner Road.
