pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23139468/This report presents a case of a 15-year-old female patient with a hemangiomatous lesion on the tongue that was successfully treated by cryosurgery using a liquid nitrogen spray. The patient demonstrated complete resolution of the lesion with good wound healing during the one-year follow-up period.
pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9162891/This article describes a simple and effective cryosurgical treatment for 92 patients who had 102 benign oral lesions. The procedure was performed by direct application of liquid nitrogen to the lesion using a cotton swab on an outpatient basis. This treatment required no sophisticated equipment and gave very satisfactory results.
www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S090150…bone becomes exposed to the oral cavity, superficial sequestra develop. Liquid nitrogen cryotherapy can weaken the bone significantly with resultant patho-logic fractures. In the author’s retrospective review of 26 patients treated with a combination of enucleation and liquid nitrogen cryotherapy, a pathologic fracture occurred in 1 patient.
