2016年8月19日 · Talking about gluing PVC, just finished a job where the home owner had his own trenching done, about 200ft., installed PVC Conduit in 10ft sections and glued after he installed the wire in the conduit sections. I was a bit nervous about the glue possibly damaging the wire.

It is allowed to use a LFNC Fitting with a PVC Female Fitting. The PVC fitting would solvent cement to the PVC conduit and the LFNC fitting would screw into it."

2018年4月19日 · Changing from non-matalic to metalic raceway, yes in theory the conduit should be bonded on both ends. Then I get all the flash backs about underground PVC to a ridgid 90 and vertical with PVC. Or a PVC stubbed out of the ground or floor to EMT. Perhaps one day a fitting manufacture will make a transition coupling that has a spot to lay in the EG.

2017年2月22日 · To be compliant with the UL listing, you can not use any fitting with male threads with a rigid coupling. To meet the UL listing, if for instance you want to connect EMT and PVC without using a box, you use a EMT-to-female-thread fitting, a short length of threaded rigid conduit, and a PVC-to-female-thread fitting. Don't shoot the messenger.

The pool was built in 1961 and did not have a GFCI on it in the first place. The installation looks Mickey Mouse and the home owner wants it done right. They just moved the switch in 1/2" pvc.

2015年4月28日 · Try the HDPE to PVC Transition couplings. 4-5years ago the company I worked for we ran miles and miles of HDPE conduit from 3/4" to 6". The 3/4-4" we used couplings very similar to these above. The couplings are like a Chinese finger with ridges on the inside. Damn near impossible to pull off.
