We put her on a lead after milking and walked her out of the pen to load her and she started balking. We babied her along, but she seemed to go into shock and sat down with her tongue hanging out.

2009年1月19日 · Anyway, Saturday, her tongue was sticking just a little ways out of her mouth - more like she just had it between her lips on the right side. Not hanging or anything, but not all the way in her mouth like it should be. Her cheek along her teeth was puffed out a bit as well. She was separated from the rest of the herd at this point.

2022年9月3日 · I've got a 7 year old boar goat that was fine last night and down this morning. He's drooling a ton, can't stand even though he tries. He's in pain. I've had the vet out and we gave an antibiotic and banamine, as well as saline IV. It's been a few hours with no improvement. He drools a lot, bottom lip hangs, tongue sticking out at times.

2013年3月6日 · Doe kidded two bucklings today while we were gone. One big buckling looks like he bit the side of his tongue and it is hanging out. It has a bit of a dark edge. Gave selenium and E gel. Helped him nurse and also syringed some mom milk. He has since nursed on his own and seems to be getting milk, despite the tongue hanging out.

2019年2月10日 · Do you have a nose sucking bulb? (Nasal aspirator is the correct term). Try gently sucking the nose out. There may be birth goo dried and blocking the breathing tubes. Sometimes they can't quite control their tongues and they hang out a little. Try closing its mouth and seeing if it can breathe. How do the lungs sound? Is the tongue really big?

2013年5月18日 · I introduced a "new" doe to my current herd of two does. My older doe and the new doe lived together a year ago, and hung out again for a couple weeks last fall. My doe was the lead doe at the other farm. My doe has her tongue poked out as she tries to get the new girl to interact with her, and she'll lick her neck fast, moving her whole head.

I have a 14 year old goat (don't know what kind rescue) and she has been going around with her tongue out and making noise when she breaths out. I had my vet check her out and he says "when she inhales its fine but when she exhales she has to work hard at it.

2011年6月25日 · The problem with this is it takes a week for results and so is often too late to help you design a protocol. I would still test a fecal sample from the sick animal now just to rule it out so you can quit freaking out about your other goats …
