In this activity, you will open the abdominal and thoracic cavity of the fetal pig and identify structures. Remember, that to dissect means to "expose to view" - a careful dissection will make it easier for you to find the organs and structures.

Fetal Pig Dissection Lab Overview: The tissues, organs, and organ systems of a fetal pig are similar in both structure and function to those found in humans. You will observe structures of the skin and muscles, as well as the muscular, digestive, excretory, reproductive, circulatory, and respiratory systems.
