We are going to purchase a 2000 minivan. Can someone tell me which is the most reliable american make van. Is it Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Caravan, Plymouth Voyager, Chevrolet Venture, Oldsmobile Silhouette, Pontiac Montana, Chevrolet Astro, GMC Safari, or Ford Windstar. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I called Chrysler again and what made me mad was the customer relations person said, "I have no reports of any transmission problems from even one consumer with that model van." I told him he was a liar as I had reported a failure a year ago that I had reported many, many times.

Another reason other than AC - Just under the windshield at the front of the van is the external air intake. Air from that intake comes into the van just above the floor (behind the glove box) on the Front Passenger side. Underneath the external air intake is a plastic trough with two drain tubes (One on either side of the van).

Winners of the SUV category were the new Ford Escape/Mazda Tribute twins. Honda motor company only made the winners list with the luxury priced SUV Accura MDX. Diamler/Chrysler also won the mid-size sedan. Best of show was the little combo car/van from Diamler/Chrysler. Best of small sedans is the Nissan Sentra. Best luxury sedan is the Lincoln LS.

2010年10月1日 · I called our Chrysler dealer in town and the mechanic said they have a fix for this now. Something about a new design for the pulley and also a different guard I think. We've yet to take our van in to be fixed, so not sure of the cost. I was hoping to find that it was a recall and we wouldn't have to pay for it.

HI Dsurek Thanks for the reply - I figured out the connector and I have a 2009 van - I think the EGR valve got rotated 180 in the 2009, as it is on the drivers side and I see one bolt that will be a challenge, but I think accessible with a universal joint - I also found several sources online for the 2009 EGR valve, and it was about $85 shipped ...

Dustin, I sat in a 1999 Limited yesterday. It was $1650 more than a 1998 LXi. The Limited has chrome alloy wheels, chrome door handles, roof rack is same color as the body, thicker carpet and sound insulation, better perforated leather seats, suede seat trim and the seat heaters are standard instead of a $250 option.

We declined to pay this so we waited for number 3 van to be found which we now have. Overall we are extremely happy with the van, it really does not resemble the existing Chrysler mini van at all inside and out (We had a 2007 loaner for the 2 months it took to resolve this issue). It feels like a Mercedes to drive with excellent ride and stability.

My van has 50,000 miles. Now that the warranty is off, I use a mechanic that is more reasonable than the large dealer where I bought the van. He said I should contact Chrysler because this should not happen at 50,000 miles and I searched Google and found all of you on my first hit! I will contact Chrysler but I don't think it will do any good.
