The Pittsburgh Subdivision is an American railroad line that is owned and operated by CSX Transportation in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The line runs from McKeesport (PLY 15.1) northwest through Pittsburgh to West Pittsburg (near New Castle) [2] along a former Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad line.

The railroad began interchanging with CSX at the Glenwood Yard in Pittsburgh in 2001. In December 2003, the Allegheny Valley Railroad expanded by leasing and operating 43 miles (69 km) of track from CSX, consisting of the P&W Subdivision and the W&P Subdivision.

2019年5月2日 · WASHINGTON – Pittsburgh area short line Allegheny Valley Railroad will acquire 47.5 miles of rail lines it has leased from CSX Transportation since 2003. The deal, disclosed in a regulatory filing on Wednesday, will require Surface Transportation Board approval. It would go into effect on May 15.
