2024年6月1日 · I checked a manual for a Stamford avr, and it specified ca 8 ohm resistance for the field winding. So it cant power both coils in series or paralell, guess i will have to choose one. I still dont understand how the old avr measures the generators output voltage though. The "either A or B" wires are just that, either A or B.

2009年1月14日 · The model is EG 1500 (1.5kw output). This generator is equipped with an automatic voltage regulator (avr) that is physically damaged. This particular avr uses the input of 120vac from the stator and apparently rectifies it for use as an output to the brushes to control rotor field current and therefore voltage output.

Verify that the connections to the field driven by the AVR is still the correct resistance and that it has not become short circuited to ground. And if the AVR has a control transistor, verify that it is still working.
