2009年8月10日 · If what you have is lead bullets it will work better. I have many 200 grain lead SWC 45 ACP bullets and have loaded them with no problems in 45 Colt. I also have a bunch of 230 grain lead RN and TC bullets, and have also loaded them in 45 Colt. As Bindernut said, if you want to use your 230 hardball in your 45 Colt, you need to taper crimp them.

Cylinder throat dimensions can (and do) vary quite a bit for the .45 Colts, so best bet is to measure the throats, and shoot bullets the same dimension (.452" throats, shoot .452" bullets). What you're talking about, Unique being "position sensitive in large cases" is for rifle cases. No such condition exists with Unique in the 45 Colt at 7 to 8 grains.

2011年8月30日 · After calling all the Bullet and Powder producers I have finally found a bullet and load that works great. Hornady techs actually talked to me and had a bullet and load they had worked up for the 45 Colt. The bullet they had was a 250 gr. XTP HP that I loaded using TiteGroup powder. I loaded 5 and shot them and they shot very well.

If that load were shot in a gun it would most likely have the same effect as a hand gernade.
