The Volkswagen Passat (B2) is an automobile which was produced by German manufacturer Volkswagen from 1981 to 1988. It was the second generation of the Volkswagen Passat, which platform was slightly longer than the preceding Passat (B1).

The second generation of Volkswagen Passat, known as the B2, was introduced in 1981. Available as a sedan, hatchback or station wagon, the B2 was the first Passat generation to offer a four wheel drive variant. Produced until 1988, the B2 was replaced by the B3 Passat in 1988.
