2017年2月13日 · Now I change exchange rate. To make silver a standard I change that 1 silver coin is worth 100 copper coins. Gold coins are worth 10 000 copper or 100 silver. So now Abacus will cost 2 silver coins. The new exchange rate are in the spreadsheets under adventurer gear and trade goods. Also Trade goods have only 3 items that I change price.

The Silver Standard. Instead of hacking the default prices to fit a silver standard, all you have to do with these price lists is hand out starting silver instead of starting gold, and replace treasure accordingly. This makes everything more expensive in the early levels, but it could make buying adventuring gear a more interesting experience.

Quite consistently through European history (prior to Spanish plundering of the silver in Americas) the trade value of precious metals was approximately 3:20:240 Copper:Silver:Gold, measured as the price of 1 lb. of each in British shillings - meaning, assuming equal coin weights, the D&D decimal increment isn’t too far out of whack.

2018年9月5日 · Full-plate is 300 sp, a long sword is 10 sp, 50' of hemp rope is 1 sp, etc. Considering the standard denomination in most worlds is silver this makes sense. A commoner who ends a month with a few silver to spare can't even afford basic items like rope according to the 5e PH, but in Pathfinder 2 he's a bit better off.
