Citral | C10H16O | CID 638011 - PubChem
Citral is a naturally occurring aliphatic aldehyde of the terpene series and is an isomeric mixture of geranial and neral. In this study, urinary metabolites of citral in male F344 rats were characterized. Stereospecific oxidation of citral at the C-8 methyl was investigated, as was the hydrolytic sensitivity of biliary and urinary metabolites.
pH-responsive citral microcapsules with tannic acid-FeIII …
2022年12月15日 · Citral release exhibited pH responsiveness with a slow release at neutral pH and a fast release trigged by pH dropping. The citral microcapsules retained excellent olfactory sensory profile due to the oxidative stability. Citral@TA-Fe III microcapsules efficiently inhibit bacteria growth, and the performance is enhanced under acidic condition ...
pH-responsive citral microcapsules with tannic acid-FeIII …
Citral@TA-Fe III microcapsules efficiently inhibited bacteria (S. aureus and E. coli) growth, and the performance is enhanced under acidic condition by citral pH-responsive release. This work may open a new path for hydrophobic unsaturated aroma compounds encapsulation, widening their applications with multifunctionalities.
Research on pH-responsive antibacterial materials using citral …
2024年3月12日 · The results demonstrated that under the acid-producing condition of E. coli growth, the pH-sensitive imine bond (–CH=N–) formed by the condensation of the amino of functionalized ZnO nanoparticles and citral was hydrolyzed to release the citral, which indicated that the release mechanism of citral in the antibacterial material was pH-sensitive.

Results showed that the most effective ratio of citral to guar gum was 1:1 with the median lethal concentration (LC50) of 4.30 mg/mL, far below the LC50 of guar gum (GG)/citral individual...
3,7-Dimethyl-2,6-octadienal | C10H16O | CID 8843 - PubChem
2021年10月14日 · Citral is an enal that consists of octa-2,6-dienal bearing methyl substituents at positions 3 and 7. A mixture of the two geometric isomers geranial and neral, it is the major constituent (75-85%) of oil of lemon grass, the volatile oil of Cymbopogon citratus, or of C. flexuosus. It also occurs in oils of verbena, lemon, and orange.
