2016年8月7日 · Get a RCBS 222 trim die, 223 full length die, and a set of 222 dies. Then full length resize the 223 cases. Next run them into the 222 trim die and cut them to length.

2015年11月11日 · After a lot more reading and measuring case necks I determined my rifle's chamber will allow me to size down 223 cases to 222 without neck turning. The donor brass is 1x Remington commercial 223, annealed prior to sizing down. I loaded up some mild loads and shot them this morning.

2013年8月26日 · I bought a used Sako barrel in .222 and have planned to put that on it but am now wondering if I should just make it a .223, if I can. I have looked at case dimensions and it seems like there is nothing about the .222 Rem that would prevent this.

2015年12月29日 · I form 221 Fireball brass from 223 and that requires more reduction. You need to either neck ream or turn, since the neck will now be made from a much thicker portion of the case. Don't anneal all at once.

2016年1月13日 · It took a couple of tries, but I figured out how to use my reloading set-up to make useful .222 cartridges. So as long as there is a supply of .223, the rifle I reload for will have ammo for the range.

2009年6月22日 · Run it through a 222 die, trim to length and you are set to go. I use a 222 and make all of my 222 varminting brass from military 223 brass, and have done so for many years with no problems whatever.

2009年10月26日 · Been offered a sako L461 with a match SS barrell chambered in 222 remington. Was wondering how i would go rechambering it to .223 rem? It's a fairly skinny taper and theres not enough mean left to totaly cut the old chamber off.

2012年4月7日 · I used to make my .222 brass from .223. I was just starting out into reloading at the time and had lots of issues that I probably wouldn't have now. Given the price and availability of .222 brass I hardly think it's worth the time.
