Magma Mephits are a type of Elemental creature in Baldur's Gate 3. They explode in a burst of flames on death and can cast Heat Metal.

If you sneak, summon mage hand where the fight usually triggers, the Mephits will spawn, surprise attack the Mage Hand and then be open for you to surprise attack them.
