This image is a mid-race shot from the Baltimore-Washington board track speedway in Laurel, Maryland. The 1925 Indianapolis 500 champion Peter DePaolo won the 250-mile contest. The car was undoubtedly the same Duesenberg he drove to victory in the "500" just weeks earlier in May.

2009年2月13日 · The speedway closed shortly after the 1926 season and was dismantled with some of the wood used for the barns at the Laurel Race Course. Another of the short lived board tracks that dotted the country was gone and later the land was used for a country club. Today, Laurel is known for its 4 legged horsepower.
