2010年9月17日 · One can almost always feel the harder (forged) surface when filing. It's not a hard or difficult job but if you aren't an experienced mechanic you could ruin an expensive clutch basket. When you are done, use the file to carefully remove the sharp edges on both the inside and the outside of the newly fixed surface.

2010年9月1日 · As mentioned, when the clutch basket gets notches in it after hgh mileage, it's time for a new one. They are very easy to change and you can examine the motor sprocket and compensator at the same time to see if there is a need for new parts there.

2018年7月7日 · You need to get behind the clutch ring gear with a good sized pry bar from the rearwards and put a thin wood piece between the inner primary and the bar. Maybe squirt some WD-40 on the mainshaft splines to help loosen the hub. Your next project will be removing the inner primary bearing race from the trans mainshaft, special tool required.
