Relying upon discrete data taken from contour plots for stress or strain can be misleading and inconsistent between various analysis runs. One reliable method for extracting specific stress and strain values is to use “integration point” data.

2021年8月17日 · Contour plots of equivalent stress and displacement magnitude are the two results that are generated by default. However, the user can also add their own custom results such as fatigue life, strain, force reaction, and much more.

The PRESENT CONTOUR LEVELS command gives a contour plot of the calculated Von Mises stresses with the default number of ten contours [Fig. 17.12 ]. The results monitor in the top left corner of the viewport indicates that the stresses vary from 603 to 3800.
