The Columbia Historic Preservation Society's photographic library consists of many thousands of images of Columbia street scenes, houses, businesses, people, and landscapes dating back to the invention of photography. Depending on the image, they may exist as a photographic prints, acetate negatives, or any number of sizes of glass plate negatives.

In early September, 2011, Tropical Storm Lee dumped inches upon inches of rain on the Susquehanna Valley. In the photo below, you can see Magee Carpet Company (now Autoneum) in the left center, with the Fairgrounds across Fifth Street to the left, all under water. The Susquehanna River is at the far right.
