Overall, if I was playing Chrono Trigger for the first time I would buy it on Steam or mobile to support the development of the game, then emulate it on Super Nintendo. I don't condone piracy but buying a used copy of the SNES or DS version on eBay won't support the developers and they are way overpriced.

2021年4月2日 · From here, go to PlayStation Driver and press triangle once again. This will show you the disc speed and texture mapping, both of which will be set to standard and both can be changed. Set the disc speed to fast and PlayStation games will run 2X faster than normal, greatly improving load times in some games including Chrono Trigger!

2019年8月16日 · Best balance you’re probably going to get is Chrono Trigger (SNES) with the cutscenes utilizing MSU-1. Which is still in beta I think. Still gonna miss the extra content though. I’d rather just play the SNES flat out over the others anyway.

2013年12月23日 · I originally played Chrono Trigger way back when I still had an SNES, it was great even on there. Unfortunately, my SNES eventually broke and I could no longer play it. Later, I got the game again when it came out for PS1. The gameplay is almost identical on there, except the load times kind of kill it.

2021年1月28日 · The PS1 port of Chrono Trigger was the first one I beat. I didn't own an SNES at the time, and the PS1 port was the only legit way I could play. At the time, the anime cutscenes were fun but fairly minimal. There were noticeable load times before each battle (3-5 seconds). They didn't annoy me much, but they're definitely interruptive.

2023年7月8日 · Definitely worth playing. Its a great game and one of the best PSX era RPGS but not a good sequel to Chrono Trigger. Its maybe 10% more of a sequel to chrono trigger than one numerated Final Fantasy game is to another of a different number ( Meanining comparing FFVII to FFVIII, not like X to X-2, or XIII to XIII-2 or Lightnings revenge).
