BISOLVON SOLUTION mengandung Bromhexine HCl. Obat ini digolongkan sebagai agen mukolitik, yaitu obat yang berfungsi mengencerkan dahak, dan membantu pengeluaran dahak pada penderita batuk berdahak. Obat ini juga digunakan untuk mengobati radang pada bronkus akut maupun kronis, seperti emfisema, bronkitis dan bronkitis asmatik.

Bisolvon (Bromhexine) is an over the counter medicine that belongs to a group of medications known as expectorant / mucolytic agents. It is a cough and cold medication. Bromhexine breaks mucus down and makes it easier to cough out. It is a phenylethylamine compound. The product comes in tablet as well as in liquid form.

Bisolvon acts as a mucolytic to facilitate productive cough. The solution is sugar-free and therefore suitable for diabetics and small children. Patients being treated with BISOLVON® should be notified of an expected increase in the flow of secretions.

Bisolvon is indicated in the treatment of secretion disorders in acute and chronic respiratory diseases. The following dosage is recommended unless otherwise prescribed: Adults and children over 12 years: 8 ml 3 times a day. Average dosage in pediatrics: Children (2 - 6 years): 20-40 drops 3 times a day.

Bisolvon should be given with the appropriate antibiotic . Bisolvon may also be administrated to facilitate and expedite the expectoration of abnormal fluid present in the bronchi e.g. contrast media .
