Honestly, as a first gaming PC I think Alienwares are great: you receive them ready to be turned on and used for gaming. They have decent customer service. I've had 2 Alienware PCs and the parts were always excellent quality. But Alienware has issues to consider longer term.

2022年1月7日 · I've never followed pre-built PCs. I had assembled my own PC in 2013, which just up and died last month. This time around I wanted to just buy a pre-built one. As I comb the internet for more info, I see people unanimously HATE (not just dislike) Alienware for some reason. Never seen the internet come together that much in any other instance. LOL

2021年5月6日 · I included an alienware 34" curved/ultra-wide monitor(AW3420DW), alienware RGB Mechanical Keyboard(AW510K) & alienware RGB gaming mouse(AW610M) all in matching Lunar Light. You will just need to add speakers and/or headphones and I would also recommend you add a 1000w UPS or at least a high end surge protector.

It's silicon lottery & little bit of luck imo, there are lot of folks out there who just buys a gaming laptop and plays on it, without ever being aware of temps and some of them Im sure would have their machines running for 3-4 years without any issues.

2022年2月19日 · Pricewise, it was cheaper to buy a fully loaded R13 (i7 3080 liquid cooled 32GB Ram) as opposed to buying the parts and assembling a pc myself. The pc shipped within a few weeks which wasn't too bad. I could have gotten similar specs on a cheaper 3rd party prebuilt, but to me it was worth spending the extra hundred or so to go with alienware.

2024年1月9日 · Yeah I missed the sale window due to certain circumstances. I figured storage would be the easiest to fix if it becomes a problem later with external drives or similar. As a kid I always wanted an Alienware gaming laptop, feels good to be finally getting a nice piece of hardware from them now.
