The Deer Park at Raby Castle is a must-visit for animal lovers. There are several walks to enjoy around the ponds and it is very easy to spot various groups of deer as you walk around the park. The paths here are tarmaced and suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

Raby Castle is a medieval castle located near Staindrop in County Durham, England, among 200 acres of deer park. It was built by John Neville, 3rd Baron Neville de Raby, between approximately 1367 and 1390.

Raby Castle is a medieval deer park and woodland, developed as a landscape park in the 18th century. The site now covers some 230 hectares, with enclosed formal gardens of four hectares. Features include a walled garden, yew hedges and an ornamental pond. The site lies on rolling land which falls gently to the south.
