What you might want to try is to run a CD player cleaner disc through it; if it is a problem caused by a dirty head or pickup, this sometimes helps. CD cleaner discs are available at Wal-mart or any electronics store. If this does not help, the CD player will need to be removed from the car and sent in to a service center to be repaired.

Thank you for the reply. Please shut the Car off, then while pressing and holding the Eject button on the stereo, while turning the Car ON. If the disc Ejects, then that was what we needed- which was to hard reset the CD player in the car.

If this is not successful, you will need to have the unit repaired, or purchase a new car CD player. If repairing the unit exceeds 2/3 the cost of a new unit, then don't bother fixing it. You'd be better off with a new player.
