The plan failed though, with the escape of the Galactica (and Pegasus, and possibly others we don't know about). From that point onwards, the Cylons were pretty much winging it. Of course, given that the plan was only the initial attack, and from that point on there really was no cohesive plan, that opening sequence text is somewhat misleading ...

Adama and the fleet demand a Cylon detector, while the Cylons "demand" it be removed from existence. Providing a "working" Cylon detector that secretly passes everyone is Baltar's way out of the dilemma.

The 13th tribe were created by humans as living robots. There was a Nuclear war on Cylon Occupied earth of which the final five recreated resurrection. They left for the 12 colonies to warn them. By the time the final five got to the 12 colonies the first cylon war broke out. It's from here that I don't understand the finer details. 1.

But on a closer look there are many open questions: It seems that the range of the upload is far greater than the usual communication range of the Cylon technology.

2012年12月26日 · In BSG when do we learn the assigned Cylon numbers for the models? As a latecomer to the series, I hear people refer to cylon model numbers, but I am curious what episode those designations (e.g. Sharon = #8) started appearing.
