2020年3月28日 · Although it’s been almost a full 2 years, our trip to “Devil’s Tower” in Concrete, WA, stays at the very top of my favorite urban explorations list to date. Looking out over the east bank of Lake Shannon, a reservoir created by the Baker Dam in the 1920’s, sits the hollowed out remains of the Washington Portland Cement Company.

Just off the shore of one of these lakes, Lake Shannon, lies the ruins of the Washington Portland Cement Company factory. A derelict building that is now home to an extensive and ever changing landscape of local 'artists'.

2019年5月9日 · I visited this place in 2018 and yesterday I attempted to revisit it (Monday)… but sadly there were a few either construction or PSE cars patrolling the area. I was told to turn around. There are a lot more trespassing signs now and apparently PSE owns the land now that devils tower sits. So that sucks.

Now known as the Devil's Tower, this Concrete, Washington landmark, which sits on the east bank of Lake Shannon, is a popular attraction for ghost hunters and thrill seekers. The tower is technically closed to the public for safety reasons, as a few explorers have been seriously injured while checking out this reportedly haunted site.

2024年1月17日 · The long-abandoned Washington Portland Cement plant came to be called Devil's Tower. It has become a popular site for graffiti artists and photographers. The name came from stories of spooky chatter, with the site reportedly "a hot spot for 'satanic rituals' ... and paranormal activity" ("Devil's Tower ").

According to what history is available, it seems there were two separate cement operations. This one and Superior down in Concrete. Superior eventually bought out Washington and used it strictly for quarrying limestone.
