We use 1.5 cs traps for bobcat all the time. My brother caught his biggest bobcat ever in a 1.5 and it held him without a problem. I'd suggest using #1.5, $1.75, or #2 cs for bobcats. No need buy big traps for these animals unless you have 40+ pound cats!

Basically a trench set with bait or eye appeal in the back with sticks, brush, dirt built up on the side to funnel them in front and over the trap. Keep trap back about 2ft. Hang a feather or something shiny from a branch across from the set to catch eye appeal from a distance.

2018年1月17日 · My first bobcat, a big tom, was held by one toe in a #2 Duke offset. A cat's foot is big in proportion to the cat's body. But they aren't THAT big. And bobcats just don't fight a trap as hard as a canine. Shouldn't be any problems using a 1.75 size trap. If you can spare an extra trap, double up if it gives you more confidence. Mike
