The Marist survey suggests that Andrew M. Cuomo is still the favorite to win the Democratic primary, but his advantage over Zohran Mamdani is dwindling.

A newly released Marist poll shows former Gov. Andrew Cuomo continuing to lead the mayor's race, although Queens Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani is closing the gap.

In a ranked-choice simulation, Cuomo wins the eighth and final round with 55 percent to Mamdani’s 45 percent. In Marist’s May poll, Cuomo would go on to win in the sixth round of ranked-choice voting with 60 percent to Mamdani’s 40 percent.
