Bluesky's automated impersonation detection system took down JD Vance's new account, but it was restored soon after.

According to ClearSky, a data tracker that monitors user activity, Vance has been blocked by over 111,000 users—the highest total since the app launched last February. Vance's rapid block tally eclipsed the previous record held by journalist Jesse Singal, who had 81,270 blocks as of Friday.

The users of Bluesky were, as you might imagine, less than thrilled. ( The VP was actually temporarily banned from the website within a half hour of joining, though Bluesky later said that was because the account was flagged as a potential impostor.
