Rather than say good riddance to Rafael Devers, the Boston Red Sox spoke kindly of him entering this weekend’s reunion and series against the host Giants.

San Francisco Giants star Rafael Devers went hitless Friday in his first game against his old team, the Boston Red Sox. Devers was, of course, traded just last Sunday from the Red Sox to the Giants as part of a five-player swap that included pitchers Kyle Harrison and Jordan Hicks and outfield prospect James Tibbs.

Rafael Devers had a consistent mantra when he addressed the Boston media for the first time since his surprising trade from the Red Sox to the San Francisco Giants five days ago.
