A man was shot by police during an alleged burglary in East Hollywood Thursday morning. The Los Angeles Police Department said officers responded to the 500 block of North Alexandria Avenue around 4:10 a.

LAPD fatally shot a man suspected of burglary in East Hollywood; the suspect was armed with a knife and acted aggressively, prompting police to open fire.

As officers approached from the bottom floor, the suspect threw planters down at them, police said. He then allegedly drew a knife.
