Two baby eagles that recently hatched in California now have names after a group of schoolchildren helped narrow down an abundance of suggestions.

BIG BEAR, Calif. -- The chicks of Big Bear's beloved bald eagle couple, Jackie and Shadow, now have names! The bigger chick is named Sunny and the smaller one is Gizmo.

Fans of the eagles submitted more than 54,000 name suggestions before Big Bear Valley school children picked the winners.
