TOKYO, June 20 (Xinhua) -- One person has died from suspected heatstroke in the central Japanese prefecture of Gifu, as a heatwave continued to grip much of the country, local media reported Friday.

The number of employed people aged 15 and older gained 245,000, or 0.8 percent, over the year to 29,160,000 in May, keeping an upward trend since January, according to Statistics Korea.
