Wisconsin's neighbor, Minnesota, is the latest state to redesign its flag and state seal, replacing one that drew criticism for its negative depiction of Native Americans.

Wisconsin's state flag was most recently updated in 1979, when "Wisconsin" and "1848" were added to the design.
