Applicants will be required to make their social media profiles “public” and will be screened for “hostile attitudes” toward the U.S., new State Department guidance says.

The U.S. State Department said Wednesday it is restarting the process for foreigners applying for student visas. But all applicants will now be required to unlock their social media accounts for government review.
