My recent Tapestry column on the Helgason family’s bear hunting camp at Terror Bay generated a lot of interest.

I was in Alaska when I spotted a glacier bear, which is a blue color-phase black bear. I decided to stalk it with my bow.

Destinations are diverse — ranging from Denali, backcountry lodges, bear and wildlife viewing areas, glacier landings, wilderness fishing spots and national parks.
