The Trump administration’s cuts to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration make hurricane preparation and planning more important than ever.

Residents will have a chance to prepare for hurricane season at a special event in The Villages. The 17th annual Hurricane Expo will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, May 2 at Savannah Center.
