The Detroit Zoo’s beloved Amur tiger, Kisa, passed away Thursday evening. And just after we were riding the feel-good high from seeing Detroit Zoo animals eating Buddy’s Pizza, too.

The Detroit Zoo has lost its oldest tiger, officials said Thursday. "We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Kisa, a beloved Amur tiger," the zoo said in a statement on Facebook.
