8月4日-8月28日，英国爱丁堡边缘艺术节（Edinburgh Festival Fringe）如期举办。2023全球华语青年戏剧导演英才计划委约导演赵淼执导的委约作品肢体戏剧《大胆妈妈和她的孩子们》获“亚洲艺术特别剧目奖”及“特别表演奖”，委约作品新国剧《西游记》2023版的导演黄盈荣获“最佳导演奖”。

Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society 也唯有如此，3000多个剧目才得以被“塞进”288个场地中，而且有些场地空间并非交租金就能进——重要的大型场馆都有自己的节目经理，对于主要场地和重要时段的剧目，都要经过他们和团队的精心筛选，才能进入最终的节目表，并且获得重要的推介位。
