Most Americans still get their coverage from traditional sources ... people previously eligible for Medicaid who finally signed up as a result of ACA-prompted outreach and publicity.

The federal government covered 90% of the cost for the additional coverage; 28 states signed up in the first year (see chart 2). Expansion stalled because of opposition in Republican-led states.
